Founded in 2011, İpek Akarca is a ‘slow fashion’ brand that creates timeless and sustainable clothing designs for modern life, combining textile arts with a contemporary fashion approach.

The pattern designs in the collection are inspired by the world we live in and nature. The artist hand paints all patterns on white silk fabric like a painting. The designs are timeless and do not follow fashion. The priority is to make the collection comfortable and functional. Designs prepared from each pattern are produced in a certain number of serial numbers and digitally printed as identical to the original. The garments are produced by local artisans in Istanbul.

Designer İpek Akarca's textile journey began more than 30 years ago when she studied Fabric Design at the Academy of Fine Arts. She started her professional career as a textile designer. Her interest in every stage of production first led her to textile production and then expanded into textile buying, selling and exporting. In 2010, with her long years of experience in this field, she transformed her work into a design studio that combines art and production. Since then, she continues to produce special collections with original artworks made of silk fabric.
